Oncology Massage

Oncology massage therapy is specially adapted for people undergoing cancer treatment or who have had cancer.

Many people with cancer would like to have massage but worry if it is safe. Most people with cancer can have massage as long as the therapist has had specialist training. Macmillan Cancer support have some more information on this. Anna from Relax Therapies has had additional training to work with cancer patients.

  • Relieve muscular tension and aches and pains
  • Enhance mood

Many people enjoy a positive and relaxing form of touch especially after some of the invasive tests and procedures they have had in hospital

Qualifications

Anna from Relax Therapies attended a three day Oncology massage training course in September 2019 and passed the final assessment.

The course covered adapting treatment to fit the needs of cancer patients, common side effects of cancer treatments and assessing when it is safe to carry out treatment.

Anna is also registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and follows their code of practice.

Home visits are available in the Wirral area if you are too unwell to travel to my office (on first floor). Prices for home visits start at £55 depending on location and length of treatment.
